Terms and conditions
These terms cover machines built by Fosse Systems, repairs and upgrades carried out by us, and the Learn To Build guide.
Quotations
A quotation is valid for fourteen days. Component prices move, sometimes sharply, and if a quoted part changes in price before you accept we will tell you and requote rather than substitute it quietly.
Payment
A deposit of twenty five per cent secures the parts. The balance falls due when the machine passes its soak test and before it leaves us. Nothing is charged until the specification has been agreed in writing.
Build times
Typical build to doorstep is fourteen days. Where a part is on back order we will say so before taking a deposit, and you may cancel for a full refund at that point.
Warranty
Every machine carries a three year warranty on parts and labour from the date of collection or delivery. This covers component failure under normal use. It does not cover accidental damage, liquid ingress, damage from overclocking beyond the settings we supplied, or parts you have fitted yourself.
During the first twelve months we collect and return faulty machines at our cost. After that, carriage to us is yours and the return is ours.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Because each machine is built to your specification it is a bespoke item, so the fourteen day cooling off period does not apply once the build has started. It does apply to the Learn To Build guide and to any unopened part sold on its own.
Repairs on machines we did not build
Diagnosis is free. We will always tell you the cost before doing the work, and if we think a repair is not worth the money we will say so. Where a machine is beyond economic repair there is nothing to pay.
Data
Please back up anything you cannot lose before handing a machine over. We take care, but we cannot accept liability for data on a drive that was already failing.
Learn To Build guide
The guide is £10 including UK postage. It is a printed book, and it can be returned unused within fourteen days for a full refund.
